Today, we have identified a 10% impact on GDP to 2021 as a key measure of the impact we wish to have by helping Kiwi businesses grow. We are on track to deliver the goal, but we need to speed this up and that is where you could fit in.
The Head of Sales & Marketing will focus on four key areas:
- Leading, developing and guiding the sales & marketing team
- Driving new customer acquisition in the SME segment
- Whole of business brand and marketing assets
- Establishing and driving the digital and insights strategy for the whole business
With business and life changing experiences available for SME businesses through the Icehouse services, it is the role of the Sales and Marketing leader to build a strong and growing pipeline of new customers for its Owner Manager, Leadership and Coaching Programs. The Icehouse works in close collaboration with a number of strategic partners, so your role will be to ensure these channels are nurtured and in return provide the necessary leads.
Aside from leveraging referrals, partners and alumni, the role will also oversee marketing across the business. This means you and your team will drive (and be the guardian of) all things which reinforce and underpin the brand proposition in the market. You'll use the current marketing tools and platforms which help to drive inbound leads for the sales team to then follow up on. You will also partner with and support the marketing efforts of the investment team who are focused on investing in the next generation of startup success stories.
With the latest sales and marketing technology, platforms and databases there is a huge amount to be learnt about the customer journey. Armed with this data, information and a great digital strategy, the sales and marketing team will be able to target potential customers at the right time, in the right place with the right conversations. As well as overseeing the marketing strategy, you'll also enable the sales team to have more meaningful conversations as trusted advisors.
Passionate about SMEs!! You will have been an SME owner/manager or worked with SMEs as your core customers. Due to the need for the right processes to be developed, stakeholders to be managed and level of strategic thinking required, you'll also have experience leading in larger companies.
Most importantly you will have demonstrated clear sales and marketing leadership. You'll be conversant in the latest sales methodologies, understanding the converging nature of sales and marketing, how one feeds the other and what tools help to automate some of the process. You will have led sales teams, providing guidance with a belief in the right process, activities and quality conversations leading to successful outcomes. Your experience and knowledge of marketing will ensure you can enable the specialists in your team.
With a focus on establishing a digital and insights strategy, you'll also have been exposed to this in a previous environment, illustrating the core components and how they've improved results.
And the 'fit'? Equal parts of personality to engage with SMEs of heartland New Zealand and corporate partners while having the gravitas to convince internal stakeholders of new courses of action.
