We do this by developing and implementing strategies to market New Zealand as a tourism destination internationally. Our purpose is to grow the value of international visitors for the benefit of the New Zealand economy. This is achieved by developing and implementing marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies working co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.

We need a highly motivated Digital leader who can make a real impact, not only in our Marketing team but in our organisation as a whole!

Reporting to the Director of Marketing you will be responsible for developing and directing the execution of integrated digital programmes and strategies across all Tourism New Zealand’s digital channels (the web, interactive, mobile, email, social). Our main campaign site is which has over 30 million visits per year, it plays a critical role in building preference for New Zealand and connecting consumers with travel sellers and supports the strategic objectives of Tourism New Zealand’s multi-million dollar digital marketing activity.

As a core member of the Senior Marketing Team you will be known for staying ahead of the digital curve with changing technologies to enhance our digital capability and continue to accelerate our agile marketing. You will lead, mentor and engage the digital team and grow our social presence, while consistently delivering premium digital marketing solutions. 

As a natural leader you will have confidence and knowledge to influence a range of audiences including the Senior Leadership Team and maximise value from suppliers and vendors, as well as continue the world leading success we have with global media partners Google and Facebook.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification with at least 10 years in senior marketing / communication/ digital function where you not only have lead digital teams but also the strategy and planning. You will be both strategic and tactical in your approach and have proven experience managing digital technology projects. Your energy, attitude and people skills will see your success.
