Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Group Manager Infrastructure Servicesis a key appointment and will join the newly formed five-member Executive Team, after a recent restructure.  This senior role has responsibility for providing strategic leadership to the Council’s essential infrastructure services including 3 waters, roading, property, engineering services, drainage, solid waste and capital projects.  With responsibility for a large operational budget and around 60 staff, this role is a key contributor to the strategic leadership of the Council, with a focus on succession planning, developing capability, encouraging collaboration and promoting the culture, values and behaviours. 

This is an attractive opportunity for experienced leaders or high-potential candidates who have successfully led teams to deliver large infrastructural projects in local government or similar complex operating environments. Candidates of interest will likely possess a tertiary qualification in civil engineering (or related discipline), bringing a modern and collaborative approach to infrastructure functions, particularly around building capability and leadership bench strength. A track record developing positive working relationships, a continual focus on customer service and process efficiencies, as well as a resilient and values-based leadership style, are all essential to success in this role.
