The Role

Christchurch based and reporting to the GM Corporate Affairs, you will be the primary point of contact for investors and analysts while developing and executing PGW Group Investor Relations and Communications strategies.  You will build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead business and market analysis and assist in the development of PGW Group strategies.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse the relative positioning of the PGW Group by tracking market and comparable company trends as well as key business development and improvement initiatives and opportunities
  • Develop and implement research and analysis models to understand investment community expectations, drivers and assumptions
  • Build fit for purpose reporting, dashboards and insights to support key decision making across all business units
  • Manage and provide hands on drafting and support of the implementation of PGW Group-wide investor related publications, materials and reports, shareholder meetings content, NZX announcements, investor relations and corporate communications content and analysis for Board meetings
  • A point of contact for media in relation to corporate and investor matters for PGW Group
  • Work closely with the General Manager Corporate Affairs and Leadership Team to participate in the strategic development of the organisation

 

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this opportunity, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Understand research principles and practices of research and have hands on experience in data and market analysis with the ability to interpret and manipulate a range of financial models
  • Gathering, analysing and providing insights into research data
  • Building relationships and grow cross functional partnerships to influence stakeholders
  • Able to develop relevant and accurate content as well as understand the channels and frameworks for communicating internally and externally
  • Likely a finance or analyst background but are looking for a more diverse opportunity
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write well and translate complex information into clear, compelling, targeted and effective messaging
  • An interest in BI tools and a sound understanding of financial markets
