Reporting to the Directors this newly created role is responsible for overarching leadership and management of the business group. This key role will have input to the future vision and formulate the necessary strategy and business plans to lead the businesses group forward to achieve the required growth, performance and profit. This is a wide-ranging role, overseeing the management of the international business model including sales, product design, offshore manufacturing, logistics, operations, warehousing and distribution, and administration. Key responsibilities include strategic management, leadership and human resources, financial stewardship, health & safety, commercial relationship management, and future growth development.

 

To be successful in this role you will have considerable professional, corporate senior leadership experience and capability, ideally from the wholesale/retail industry, preferably in the consumer goods sector. This is not a caretaker role. Essentially you will be a dynamic, confident, enthusiastic leader with strong interpersonal skills, with the desire and ability to drive the company forward over the long term. Your strong financial, analytical and commercial acumen will be matched by excellent people management and communications skills. You will display a natural leadership style and understand the importance of market led innovation in a customer facing, sales service orientated industry. The right person will need to roll their sleeves up and be actively involved in building key customer and supplier relationships, learn quickly and be passionate about the market, customer dynamics and product. Regular overseas travel will be required.
