ProCare is New Zealand's largest and most diverse Co-operative of healthcare professionals in New Zealand. It represents more than 170 general practices across the greater Auckland region, with over 800,000 enrolled patients, including the largest Māori Pacific and South Asian populations in Tāmaki Makaurau. ProCare is committed to improving the health of Aucklanders with a local and personal approach to delivering world leading health services supported by clinical excellence and expert business practices.
The board seeks to appoint a strategic, inspirational leader to drive the organisation’s vision and strategic objectives, and to advance its mission “for every New Zealander to have the right to live well”.
The CE will shape and execute business strategy that reflects the evolving needs of the sector and consequential member support services. This pivotal role will guarantee that the Group’s entities operate in an integrated and cohesive manner that ensure ProCare’s sustainability and growth in a dynamic and challenging environment. The ongoing development of strategic partnerships, a resilient, talented and high performing workforce, and efficient business practices are also core accountabilities.
Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive track record of successful strategic and commercial leadership in a complex stakeholder setting. An inspirational people leader, political acuity, an open and collaborative style, and a passion for the future of the health sector are other key qualities sought. Senior experience within the health sector is desirable, although not essential. It will be important, however, that candidates are able to demonstrate highly innovative leadership in a sector undergoing significant transformation.
