The Role

Reporting to the CEO, we are looking to appoint a General Manager, People and Engagement whose purpose is to lead the development and delivery of human resource, organisational development and safety and wellbeing practices that support and enable the senior leadership team and their teams to deliver strategic and day to day business outcomes.

The key responsibilities of this role will be to lead the HR and safety team to represent, drive and further influence the core values that guide the organisation across multiple industries and foster a collaborative and cross functional approach. You will have a true understanding of what success looks like for the organisation’s people leaders and support them to implement practices and frameworks that will help their teams realise success. You will oversee the effective recruitment, employee experience, engagement, performance management, remuneration structures and learning and development programmes. A key objective for the role will be in building culture across the group that meets the companies and the changing social expectations. Additionally, you will lead the industrial relations strategy, support negotiations and have strategic oversight of safety and wellbeing. Measuring and reporting on key human resource drivers will also be important to quantify the value within the Group.


Skills and Experience

This role requires an experienced, down to earth and innovative human resource and safety leader who can authentically connect and build great relationships with the team and wider business. You will be a strategic and trusted advisor who supports the senior leadership team and their managers to foster an outstanding diverse and inclusive culture, and further build the capability within their teams. We are looking for someone who is future focused and has a track record of leading Future of Work change with solid experience supporting people through this change. A relevant qualification and experience in a similar role are essential.
