Farmers Mill, Seedlands and Grainstor are New Zealand grower-owned and operated businesses specialising in the post-harvest processing, value-add production and storage of seeds and grains.  Farmers Mill is a state of the art manufacturer and marketer of high quality flour, speciality grains and food ingredients into the bakery and FMCG sector.  The Group provides seed dressing and grain storage facilities.  Committed to quality product and service, the company has modern facilities at Washdyke, Timaru.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will be accountable for the leadership and profitability of the businesses.  Relationships, planning, logistics, processing efficiency, and developing products and markets are all critical elements of this diverse leadership role.  The modern plant, along with shareholder grain and seed supply, differentiate the business from its competitors.  The General Manager will have the proven commercial acumen and agility to realise the potential of the special features of the business platform on a national basis.

Key attributes sought in the appointee include:

·                Proven commercial strategic and operational leadership ability.

·                Relationship management and team building skills.

·                An appreciation for the grower/farmer relationship and supply chain.

·                Experience in sales management preferably in the FMCG sector.

·                Enterprise, initiative, resourceful, can do attitude.
