Established in 1991, Globelink is a national importer and distributor of quality, innovative lighting and general electrical products. Globelink, which currently employs 16 people, has its Support Office and main Warehouse in Palmerston North, a Sales Office in Auckland and a Bulk Warehouse and Sales Office in Christchurch .The business has grown significantly and plans are in place to ensure the continued strong performance and development of the business.
Critical to this growth and development is the appointment of a General Manager to assume direct responsibility for the leadership and management of the business. The focus of the position will be on working across the business, coaching and mentoring staff and ensuring the ongoing growth, development and commercial sustainability of the business in a highly competitive market. The General Manager will be expected to work closely with the Board at a strategic level.
To succeed in this role you will be able to identify strong performance in a similar, relevant role with personal strengths in leadership, sales & marketing, human resource and supplier management. The ability to achieve agreed growth, revenue and profitability targets whilst maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers and staff is essential. A background in the lighting/electrical industry, whilst providing significant benefits, is not regarded as being essential.

This is a pivotal appointment for the ongoing development of Globelink and will appeal to a proven Senior Executive looking to create and drive a strong team focused on growing a national business that has huge potential and a fully supportive Board. A remuneration package reflecting the level and responsibility of this position will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
