Tourism New Zealand has an exciting opportunity based in Shanghai to lead the Asian market operations across key markets including China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and India. This is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the tourism industry in New Zealand with a focus across a key growing Asian market.

A key role focus is contributing insight and strategies to the New Zealand based executive and be the Asian market leader. Also the role manages the delivery and distribution of marketing efforts for Tourism New Zealand to the growing Asian marketplace and includes leading and developing a culturally diverse team.

To be successful in this position you will need:
• A disciplined background of successfully leading marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Proven executive leadership skills and the ability to operate in a senior regional role
• Have the ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders with proven communication and influencing skills
• A proven skill in managing culturally diverse, geographically located teams or within a matrix style organisation
• A strong empathy and understanding of the 100% NZ Pure campaign and legacy that it encompasses
• The proven capability to operate and understand the Asia market as a region
