Road Transport Logistics Ltd (RTL) is a multi-disciplined logistics operation which was formed five years ago, evolving from Becker’s Transport, Clinton Waipahi Holdings, Tuapeka Transport, West Otago Transport and Buchanan Transport. RTL delivers smart, dynamic transport and logistical services to support clients covering areas such as general freight, livestock transport, bulk cartage, fertiliser spreading and other specialist rural services. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the implementation and execution of the company strategy and manage the day to day operations consistent with the RTL values, purpose and vision. Providing exceptional leadership and guidance to your team, you will develop and grow a strong, unified culture and lead the H&S commitment to staff, clients and the public. Delivering first class service to your clients and building on RTL’s longstanding market reputation is critical along with identifying, leading and delivering improvements within the business.
Your Skills and Experience
You will be an accomplished, energetic leader with a strong track record of commercial success including financial management. In addition, you will have expertise mentoring and developing a team. Sound commercial judgement, excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder relationship skills will be key to your success in this role. Ideally you will have sector related exposure, however of greater importance will be your commercial and leadership acumen.
Due to the spread of branches within RTL the successful applicant could reside in Central Otago or any of the provincial locations where RTL are based.
