Our Client

Life Education Trust Canterbury delivers the Healthy Harold Programme as far as the Hurunui District through to the Rakaia Region, and reaches over 23,000 children each year in 80 different primary and intermediate schools.

Their Programme is taught by specialist Educators in mobile classrooms, using a wide range of technology and resources creating memorable learning experiences.

Life Education have been educating and inspiring generations of children throughout New Zealand to embrace healthy choices for over 30 years.

The Role

Reporting to the Chair, you will lead and deliver the organisation’s strategic fundraising, working towards achieving an annual income target and develop sustainable income streams.  You’ll also enjoy supporting the Trust to identify and pursue opportunities to promote Life Education and its work in the community.

In this highly autonomous role, you will need to be able to roll up your sleeves and oversee all fundraising initiatives while managing marketing and communications. You will also be responsible for maintaining and cultivating existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Taking the lead in planning fundraising events from start to finish will also be something that excites you.

This diverse role also includes other duties like financial management and processing accounts - no two days will be the same.

Skills & Experience

To succeed you will have previous experience in a similar role, implementing and leading fundraising activities at corporate and community levels. Your ability to nurture stakeholder and donor relationships with a diverse range of the community will be imperative to your success. You will have excellent written and verbal skills and possess a high level of organisational skills, enthusiasm, energy and passion.
