Farmers Mill, Seedlands and Grainstor are New Zealand grower-owned and operated businesses specialising in the post-harvest processing, value-add production and storage of seeds and grains. With modern facilities at Washdyke, Timaru, Farmers Mill is a state of the art manufacturer and marketer of high quality flour, speciality grains and food ingredients. The modern plant, along with shareholder grain and seed supply, clearly differentiates the business from its competitors. The Group also provides high quality seed dressing and grain storage facilities and services.
Reporting to and working closely with the General Manager, the Financial Controller will be accountable for financial, systems and administration management across the Group. Your key focus will be on management accounting. You will also provide leadership in financial accounting, business planning, internal control and risk management, tax and Board support. The Financial Controller will support sales and plant managers in ongoing operational and business improvement.
Key attributes sought in the appointee include:
- Experience in a similar role demonstrating strong competencies in accounting, IT systems and business administration
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to make a significant contribution at senior executive level
- Proven people leadership and management skills
- A relevant degree qualification
Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment would provide significant benefits.
