Rangi Ruru Girls’ School is an independent school offering education from Year 7 to 13, day and boarding. Girls go to Rangi Ruru with a range of abilities, interests and experiences and are provided with personalised learning programmes to support each girl to be the very best she can be, academically and as a person.

The Role

Reporting to the Principal, and as a valued member of the Senior Management Team, as well as enhancing financial methodologies and procedures you will lead the financial, administration and property support teams. You will carry out accurate forecasting and monitoring, as well as robust reporting to ensure maximum operational efficiency across the organisation and provide meaningful information to deliver Board strategies. You will also support the Board in evaluating and advising on capital expenditure and regularly report on the financial performance of the school. You will provide effective facilities management ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard and relevant compliance regulations throughout the school are met. As Board Secretary you will ensure compliance with the Board Rules. You will also provide financial support and reporting to the Rangi Ruru Foundation.

Your Skills & Experience

You will have a relevant accounting qualification (NZCA or equivalent) and experience in leading and developing a team, with a proven track record in a similar senior financial role. Your expert technical accounting background managing financial reporting and budgets along with your ability to bring the numbers alive will be crucial to your success. You will possess exceptional relationship building and communication skills, reporting skills and attention to detail.
