Who we are: 

On behalf of the New Zealand Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) have established the New Zealand at Expo 2020 team. The team is managing the design, build and operation of the New Zealand Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.  

What you'll be doing: 

Reporting to the Expo 2020 Missions and Visits Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the New Zealand-based elements of the Expo 2020 missions and visits programme. You will be the interface for the Dubai-based team and our New Zealand-based stakeholders. These stakeholders include: Ministerial offices, MFAT, NZTE, New Zealand government agencies and business delegations.  You will be responsible for assessing and planning the logistics requirements for multiple official delegations’ visit programmes to Expo 2020 Dubai, and for ensuring seamless handover from the planning stages to the on-ground programme delivery by the Dubai based team. This is a fixed-term role and will end in April 2021. 

What you'll need to be successful: 

You’ll need to have a flexible, collaborative, approach, be proactive and ambitious, be self-motivated, and able to work as part of a remote team. With the time difference of your colleagues in Dubai, you will be flexible with working hours, and you will be comfortable working in a small team in New Zealand. You will be deadline and detail oriented, and your experience will show examples of project management and delivery where deadlines were met, budgets managed, and stakeholders happy/well-informed, and their needs built into planning and delivery. You will be experienced in the logistics required to deliver successful international visit programmes across a wide spectrum of seniority; and understand the relevant tiers of service and protocols required at each level.

You must hold New Zealand citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate New Zealand Government security clearance.
