ASB Corporate Banking is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and relationship functions for the Bank's Corporate clients. As Executive Manager for Private Capital within the Corporate Banking team, your focus will be to strategise, develop, manage and grow our ultra-high net worth and family office relationships across the bank while lifting and differentiating ASB's profile.
The role: what you will do
A key senior member of the ASB Origination team, you will have overall responsibility for growing and managing relationships in the ultra-high net worth and family office segment with a key focus on the origination of new business. While this role will sit within our Corporate Banking team structure, it will have bank wide responsibility to ensure our clients total banking needs are achieved, including Wealth & Insurance, Private bank, Property, Commercial, Asset Finance and Specialist Industries.
You will develop pursuit and financial plans for key target new-to-bank clients, leading the end-to-end client origination through to close of transaction process; co-ordinating and collaborating with product specialists across the Bank to ultimately increase client origination, share of wallet and retention of key targets. You’ll represent ASB as an industry expert and thought-leader to elevate ASB's reputation and brand and grow our presence.
As this market is a new focus for ASB, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our strategy for Private Capital to best position ASB to achieve our ambitions to successfully retain, grown and originate within the Private Capital Market.
What we’re looking for
First and foremost, you will have extensive knowledge of capital markets, corporate and investment banking, and you’ll have a deep understanding of industry drivers, trends, opportunities and the key players within.
You’ll already be established in the industry and / or may be returning to NZ from overseas. Coupled with your existing networks and contacts, you’ll have the proven ability to build and leverage a network of external advisors and referral partnerships in which you can successfully identify and originate new-to-bank client relationships and business.
Your extensive knowledge of multi-stakeholder planning and commercialisation will be evident from your track record of delivering professional and unbeatable client solutions and experiences.
