Build your environmental scientist consulting career, delivering transformational environmental projects while learning from leading technical environmental, sustainability and related experts. This role will enable you to take the next step in your career, building your technical understanding, working with clients, and leading projects.
You will play a key role in our Auckland environmental team where you will be delivering projects across the region and the upper North Island. You will be joining a team known locally for our ability to provide high quality environmental consulting advice to a diverse range of clients such as Watercare, Auckland Council, NZ Defence Force, Auckland Transport, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency as well as a number of local authorities.
You will have plenty of scope for success in this role, with significant career development opportunities. We will provide you with exposure to complex projects and clients, give you the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and work in a nationwide environmental practice. In this role you will be part of a team of experts, working closely with the other technical disciplines within our “Community Shaping” team including, ecologists, landscape architects and planners.

You will be an environmental scientist who is passionate about making a difference and keen to work in a team that delivers complex community, infrastructure, and development projects. This role would suit those who have started their careers and have some existing experience. We are looking for savvy, innovative and commercially minded professionals who are motivated to be part of, and strengthen, our growing environmental business.
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline. While this position requires excellent technical skills in a broad range of environmental science related disciplines, you may also have expertise in environmental chemistry or water quality and assessments of environmental effects.
You will bring with you:
Field experience that includes undertaking field surveys and environmental sampling
Experience working with the Resource Management Act (RMA) and an understanding of resource consent processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, displayed by your ability to work with colleagues, clients, and contractors
