The Christchurch Foundation’s role is to help generous people and companies achieve their dreams for the city of Christchurch, New Zealand. The Foundation distributes funds to causes in our city that are important to our donors. The Role (12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Leave Cover)

Christchurch based and reporting to the Chief Executive, this role delivers the fundraising efforts for The Christchurch Foundation to achieve on strategy and fundraising goals. You will be responsible for growing and maintaining relationships across New Zealand and with the Kiwi diaspora.  Your key responsibilities include nurturing and stewarding community relationships at varying levels, connecting with businesses and professional services who wish to partner with the Foundation, and implementing agreed strategies to attract and deliver donors and partners.

Your Skills

The role requires a high level of organisational skills, enthusiasm, energy, and passion to achieve success. You will have demonstrated experience in business development and proven ability to take people on a journey to support our city. Strong skills developing and sustaining relationships is critical, you will be warm and engaging and able to quickly build trust.  You will need to be comfortable speaking and presenting to groups ranging from the elderly, community groups and senior business leaders.

You will be self-driven with the ability to operate autonomously as well as part of a small team. This role requires someone who is willing to ‘think outside the square’ and be confident and comfortable to ask for support. You need to think creatively and be willing to push boundaries to ensure the Foundation is relevant and delivering on it’s promise to those that give through the Foundation.
