Our Strategy Group sits at the nerve centre of NZTE, providing strategic direction, insights, and superior stakeholder engagement that drive and enable NZTE's impact with customers. Deeply connected across all of our activities, the Ministerial team plays a key role within the group; providing leadership and operational delivery for our engagement with Ministers.

Reporting to the General Manager of Strategy, you'll be a vital contributor to the direction and success of the Strategy Group, and provide leadership and management oversight of a team of 5 including two private secretaries based in the Minister for Economic Development's office, and three ministerial advisors. The team is the access point for the organisation to all Ministers and the end game is to maintain a high degree of trust and confidence, securing NZTE's "license to operate" and maximising the valuable contribution that these key stakeholders add to our customers and our strategy.

Effectiveness in this role hinges on your team's ability to plan long-term and execute to tight deadlines, providing fit-for-purpose advice and information to Ministers offices, and making the right connections between ministerial direction and policies and NZTE's operating model.
