Our Chief Executive is supported by seven Deputy Chief Executives (DCE's) each of whom has a specific area of primary expert responsibility. Together our DCE's focus on Departmental strategy and ensure the Department continues to operate as a high performing and united organisation.
This role has mandate for leading and managing work areas deemed to be immediate and of critical importance to our Chief Executive. As a Tier 2 role, in consultation with the Executive Leadership team, the position is accountable for managing critical strategic issues. To this end the successful appointee will be the Chief Executive's interface with the Ministers, central agencies and an array of key stakeholders.
The successful appointee will be politically astute, possessing credibility enabling effective relationships with Ministers, Government appointees and central agencies. It is imperative you present with proven capability in handling complex and sensitive issues through to a conclusion, coupled with the ability to think strategically and anticipate future issues.
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate proven experience at a senior management level and awareness of domestic and international justice sector trends and issues, underpinned by a thorough understanding of relevant legislation.
