The Consular Officer performs duties to assist NZTE and the Trade Commissioner/Consul General in key areas of the Ho Chi Minh Consulate operational and business activity.
The position is responsible for ensuring that the Consulate's consular, agency services and reception services are effective.
This includes providing, maintaining and enhancing Consular contact with the local New Zealand community, the New Zealand Embassy in Ha Noi, relevant local authorities and other missions, and responding to consular emergencies. The position may require some after hours on-call duty.
To be successful self-direction and motivation are required, along with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise. The unpredictable nature of the Consular work will require maturity, adaptability, resilience and empathy. Your great relationship skills and professional approach, along with your strong customer focus, energy and positivity will guarantee your success in the role.
Successful applicants will have at least seven years work experience in a demanding customer facing role or senior executive assistant position.
