The Grey District is a progressive organisation serving a community of approximately 13,500 residents with its boundaries encompassing an area of 3513 square kilometres. The Grey District economy has come a long way since the pioneering days of the 1860's with key industries such as extraction, fishing, manufacturing, agriculture, services and tourism playing major parts in the economy. As Chief Executive you will provide strategic direction for the council ensuring strong management of council resources with a focus on quality service delivery to the community it serves. Strong leadership, financial skills and commercial acumen will be key to success in this role. 


Reporting to the Mayor and Councillors, you will need to be a visionary and strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to engage effectively at all levels within the organisation, external stakeholders and community.  To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced leader, likely with exposure to a Local Government environment with well rounded commercial skills.
