Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH) is the PHO for the Nelson/Tasman region and operates as a not-for-profit Charitable Trust.  NBPH leads and coordinates a wide range of community health care services focussed on improving health outcomes and striving for health equity for all people.  This service delivery includes an innovative integrated health facility with a community hospital, general practice, rest-home and continuing care facility located in Golden Bay.

Serving a population of over 104,000, NBPH is well regarded as a high performing and innovative organisation which enjoys a strong relationship with local clinicians, health professionals and the Nelson Marlborough DHB, iwi and community groups.  Currently 21 General Practices are contracted to NBPH.

Leading a team of 154 the CE will work closely with the Trust Board in continuing the development of new strategic initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovative and agile services and ensuring best standards of service delivery for the community.

Candidates of interest will be able to demonstrate knowledge and successful leadership experience in the health sector, an understanding of health funding and an appreciation of the importance of building a high-performance organisation and developing strong relationships in local communities.

Applicants will have strong commercial and financial acumen and the proven capacity to foster and maintain constructive alliances and partnerships. This role requires focus on leading teams in an existing collaborative culture.
