Technology is at the heart of everything we do, it powers more than 2500 checkouts, nearly 5000 laptops and over 1000 servers. More importantly, it gives us the ability to know all our customers personally, to understand how they shop and what they want (or don’t). It can create awesome shopping experiences that keep our customers coming back.
Pete, our out-going CIO has done a great job merging two technology teams, systems and processes, driving a culture of excellence, delivering one of Aotearoa’s largest SAP implementations and more recently building localised online shopping experiences for our customers. There are still some large technology projects to land and our new world class support centre and ambient distribution centre will have technology at its core. These large projects will help us to continue our focus on customers and helping them get more out of their lives.
We are now looking for a new technology leader to take us forward. Our conversations always start with our customers and how we can make things easier for them, so you’ll need to be wired that way too. Along with some of your peers, you’ll be accountable for driving online growth & revenue and leading digital customer journey conversations. That’s on top of keeping our IT operations running like clockwork for our business, that is “on” 24/7.
To be successful at Foodies your ability to influence will be second to none and you’ll be truly committed to consulting with our owner operators, leadership teams, and directors to support our cooperative’s strategic plans. It goes without saying, you’ll need to be a great people leader too, not just a digital visionary, as you will be working with some of the best technology talent around.
