Use your extensive industry knowledge to help New Zealand companies advance in South America
Are you looking for a new adventure? NZTE offers a flexible, fun and stimulating environment with a unique opportunity to develop and access world class business networks and work with a talented, diverse, international team.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with established networks in the South America region.
We work with some of New Zealand's most creative and forward thinking companies, helping them to grow internationally bigger, better, faster for the benefit of New Zealand.
We need your commercial smarts and know-how to manage a portfolio of innovative New Zealand companies and play a key role in evaluating their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and supporting them with market entry and growth strategies. Experience and contacts in the food processing and/or fruit production sector in South America would be beneficial, but not essential.
Keen business acumen is critical, as is the ability to work alongside CEO's and a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up'. You will have superior communication, business consulting and relationship management skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. You will understand how to develop and leverage industry networks and possess a sound knowledge of the South American business environment.
Your success will be measured through the growth of the companies you work with and you will be rewarded with the opportunity to have real impact on businesses, work with a passionate team, undertake varied and interesting work and have a high degree of independence. We work hard, we have fun, and we believe in enjoying life.
You'll be fluent in both English and Spanish and ideally have a tertiary qualification in international trade.
In return for all that, you'll be representing New Zealand on the international stage and joining a team of commercially astute individuals who learn from each other's depth of private sector and international experience and who have a strong commitment to lifting NZ's economic performance.
This is a 'locally engaged' position so you must have the right to work in Chile. You'll also need to be able to travel throughout the South America region.
Do you think you have what it takes? Then we want to hear from you. Please check out the position description and apply now!
Applications close Tuesday 13 March, 2018 at 5pm Chile / Wednesday 14 March, 9am NZ time.
