An exciting opportunity now exists within our Mexico team for a proven international Business Development Manager (BDM). This is no sales job, you'll be supporting New Zealand companies to develop and execute their business growth plans in Mexico. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about assisting businesses, who understand what it takes to enter a new international market and have a proven track record of navigating local commercial market development processes. You will proactively support our customers to develop and execute their growth plans, providing strategic introductions, market analysis and research.
You'll be involved in the identification of potential in-market partners, help develop new channels to market and identify potential growth opportunities. You will also play a key role in evaluating the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for our customers in comparison to their competitors, and then assist them in shaping and reshaping their strategies and business models to help them succeed.
You'll have a mix of government and private sector experience - preferably from the Energy, Technology and Agribusiness sectors and have extensive networks across them. Your "can-do" attitude and creative problem-solving skills will make you the perfect addition to our team.
You'll be fluent in both English and Spanish and ideally have a tertiary qualification in international trade.

This is a 'locally engaged' position so you must have the right to work in Mexico. You'll also need to be able to travel to the United States.
