Reporting to the Finance Manager the key focus of this role is to provide a high level of support to the finance team through the accurate and timely processing of accounts. Responsibilities will include financial reporting including meeting statutory and Audit NZ requirements, supporting the annual planning process, treasury, fixed assets, general ledger and providing payroll support as required.
You will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to think on your feet whilst delivering solution focused outcomes. Additionally, you will have an analytical mind, strong numerical skills, high levels of accuracy and an exceptional work ethic to ensure success in this role. Previous experience in Local Government and CA qualifications would be advantageous but not a requirement. Previous financial reporting experience and an understanding of external requirements are essential.
