This consumer brand is soaring ahead in the global e-retail space. Based in Wellington, their turnover is $100M+, and their award-winning consumer products are stocked by premium retailers in 30 global markets.
This brand profoundly understands that digital is its growth engine for the future. As such, they have a huge focus in growing digital revenue via three channels: (1) direct e-commerce, (2) pureplay e-commerce partnerships (e.g. Amazon), and (3), the websites of their retail partners (E-retail).
This role focuses on the latter two categories, with a remit to grow sales across e-commerce partner platforms and key e-retailers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a brand-new role for the company, so it’s an exciting opportunity to mould the job and make it your own. Your job is to manage relationships with priority e-retail and e-commerce partners. These partners are global (think: UK, US, Canada, Australia) and tend to have an advanced digital offering.
Your job then is to help these partners to prioritise digital sales of your product. You’ll develop and implement the e-retail strategy, leading weekly meetings with key buyer/marketing contacts, and utilising tactical promotions to achieve sales targets.
As the in-house e-retail subject matter expert, you’ll also lead change across the broader sales team, ensuring they are taking every opportunity to drive digital sales in their respective markets.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We’re looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual, with proven experience managing e-retail and e-commerce partners. Your experience could be from the retail side (i.e. working at an e-retail er in a digital buying capacity) or from a consumer brand (i.e. working at a brand, managing relationships with e-retail and e-commerce partners).
You must have experience in consumer goods: think FMCG, luxury goods, fashion, health, wellness, beauty.
- Proven background in e-retail business development and account management
- Global experience, with exposure to the UK and/or USA markets preferred
- Ability to create and carry out an e-retail sales strategy
- Confident and proactive work approach
- Strong stakeholder communication ability
