Campaign for Wool NZ invites all Kiwis living in London to join the our global partner in celebrating the fibre that shaped much of New Zealand's heritage at the 2014 Wool Ride.
Hosted by Campaign for Wool during Wool Week 2014, this free ride will commence at 9am and running through till 2pm. This 13.4 mile ride, estimated to take around 1 hour 38 minutes, takes riders along a meandering route with time to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the sights of the capital at a leisurely pace. Riders will pass through iconic scenery such as; London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Knightsbridge, Park Lane and Regent Street.
Starting and finishing at Potters Fields on Sunday 5th October, guests have the option to give their bikes a temporary makeover with the ‘Woolen Cycle Workshop.’ Awards are available for best wool dressed bicycle and best woolen clad attendees.
If life in the saddle isn’t for you, come down and support the riders at Potters Fields where there will be a host of activities and entertainment for all ages. A marquee will be erected offering food and beverages in addition to live music, a bicycle duo, speeches and prize giving, not to mention a lot of wool!
A true celebration of Wool Week, The Campaign for Wool’s Wool Ride will be a truly immersive experience offering a valuable insight into the importance of the wool industry as well as a bike ride you won’t forget in a hurry.
