Can we dramatically improve cancer survival rates?

Immune therapy represents a genuine revolution in cancer care, causing some of the most severe cancers to melt away – and stay away.

Yet many cancer patients still don’t benefit from current immune therapy. Professor Rod Dunbar will explain how the University of Auckland is developing new immune therapies that are designed to combine with existing drugs and enable many more patients to survive, ultimately transforming how cancer is treated.

Rod’s lab at the School of Biological Sciences is primarily focused on human cellular immunology, with particular interest in how the immune system can be manipulated to treat cancer.

This will be a fascinating presentation and a wonderful opportunity to catch up with fellow alumni.

Light refreshments will be served
