THREESOME

Presented by DuoVision as part of Homotopia Festival 2018.

Threesome is an exhibition of personal responses to the female gaze by three renowned contemporary lesbian painters. Sadie Lee, Roxana Halls and Sarah Jane Moon have painted themselves, each other and the cult cabaret performer Ursula Martinez in an exhibition curated by art writer and editor Anna McNay. They have also each created new work of a yet-to-be-revealed subject specifically for Threesome’s Liverpool debut.

A full-colour catalogue of the exhibition will be available for the first time at Threesome in Liverpool, along with signed limited edition prints of the portraits.

This exhibition follows on from the very successful seven-week run of the original Threesome exhibition at New Art Projects, London, in January 2018, where it was developed with Fred Mann and Tim Hutchinson, together with curator Anna McNay. Threesome is also supported by Homotopia, Duovision, Arts Council England and The Art Academy.

Threesome will run from 4th November until 2nd December 2018 at The Gallery, Liverpool.

Please join us for the Private View on Saturday 3rd November, 6 - 9pm and for a Q&A with the artists and curator on Sunday 4th November at 1pm. This will be held in conjunction with the launch of the show’s full-colour catalogue, designed and published by Jo Monroe.
