The New Zealand Initiative Next Generation Semi-final debate
Come to the semi-final of the The New Zealand Initiative Next Generation Debates, a national university debating tournament designed to encourage young people to think and talk about some of the important public policy issues facing New Zealand.
Top debaters from Otago, Canterbury, Wellington and Auckland universities face off over a range of moots during two weeks of debates in Wellington and Auckland.

This is followed by a panel discussions with industry experts and a Q&A session.
The University of Auckland Business School is hosting a semi-final on 12 August 2015, and teams will debate whether economic growth always comes at the expense of people and the environment.
The New Zealand Initiative Next Generation Debates offers cash prizes of $1000 to the winning team, $500 to the second placed team and $500 to the best speaker of the tournament.
We look forward to seeing you there.
