New York City will be home to the first New Zealand Pop-Up gift shop this November with simultaneous online shopping available to all U.S., and international customers. The Moko Pop-Up Shop will open its doors at Ora Gallery for eight weeks only, selling unique gifts, art, objects, design and iconic “only in New Zealand gems” right at the crossroads of the Chelsea, West Village and Meatpacking neighborhoods.
Perfect for corporate or personal gifts, expats will be able to shop for that unique artwork or adornment piece for the body, the home and even the Christmas tree. With something for everyone in mind there’ll be innovative toys like Māori Alphabet Blocks and Buzzy Bee for the new baby or Buzzy’s grown up version – Fly Bee - by artist Shane Hansen. Don’t worry – there will be classic edible treats like Jetplanes and Whittakers chocolates, manuka honey and even Kaitaia Fire to spice up the kitchen. Collections range from Art, Objects, David Trubridge Lighting, Baby & Kids to Holiday Season and Winter Accessories – full collections available by the end of October at mokoism.com/popup.
What’s more, Moko Pop-Up and select suppliers have partnered with two schools in the Far North of New Zealand providing proceeds from sales to support the KETE Project: Kids Empowered through Technology Education. More on Moko Pop-Up and this initiative at Mokoism.com.
