It’s that special time of year when we come together far from our homeland to honor our NZ traditions.
The outstanding Sean Gourley is our featured NZ speaker this year. He has achieved remarkable international recognition regarding in the areas of development and implementation of augmented intelligence. He is taking giant strides beyond our typical understanding of how we interact with artificial intelligence in today’s ever changing world.
Sean is a former Rhodes Scholar and student of physics which led him to his PhD from Oxford. He is a TED fellow, can easily explain how he has been using his mega data analyses to track the mathematics of war and can describe how algorithms are changing our world. It will come as no surprise that Sean has worked alongside the US Pentagon, addressed the United Nations and acted as a political advisor to the Iraqi government.
Please join us for the Waitangi Day Dinner this year, a little bit of New Zealand soul right here in San Francisco. As in previous years, we are featuring NZ Cheeses, NZ wine, NZ beer, NZ Kapahaka, a NZ themed menu brought to you with the personal touch of 2 fantastic NZ chefs, the chance to join in the NZ Haka and of course, a delightful silent auction and raffle featuring many NZ favorites.
Please go to sfkiwis.com to check out photos from previous years and to purchase tickets for this year’s dinner. We have a maximum seating capacity of 116, and typically sell out ahead of the dinner. Please don’t be disappointed. If you are in San Francisco on the 7th we hope to see you; or if you know someone else who will be here, please pass this information on to them.
