RemoteTogetherNZ festival to help businesses review, redesign and reset for a new world of work
New Zealand’s first ‘future of work’ festival will help set the stage for Aotearoa to become a global leader in remote and flexible work best practices.

Using the Covid-19 lockdown and changing work trends as inspiration, the RemoteTogether festival will be hosted in Queenstown from 8-13 March 2021 and aims be a conduit for accelerated learning, innovation and collaboration for businesspeople looking at how to adapt to changing global work dynamics.

The festival will bring together thought leaders and remote/flexible working experts to help attendees review, redesign and reset their strategies and business models for future success. Opportunities for brain gain, ‘side-hustles’ and the gig economy will also be discussed to help personal and organisational development.

Speakers will come from a range of organisations, including Pukeko Pictures,
Wipster, Shopify, Kea New Zealand, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Sir Edmund Hillary Fellowship, Timely, PWC, Collectively, University of Otago, and the Queenstown Lakes District Council. Musicians and athletes will also share their experiences to provide further cross-learning opportunities.

The festival will run a six-day programme with more than 40 in-person and online activations across 10 Queenstown venues. From self-employed and returning Kiwis to small-medium enterprises and larger organisations, the roundtable discussions, masterclasses and networking sessions in the programme have been tailored to all stops along the remote work journey.
