Honor Harger, Executive Director of ArtScience Museum
Honor Harger is a curator and artist from New Zealand. She became the Executive Director of ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in 2014 and has a particular interest in artistic uses of new technologies. In the mid-1990s, while in New Zealand, Honor edited the artistic publication, SPeC; co-founded sound art collective Relay, worked with radio station, Radio One and with the art gallery, Artspace. She has had a rich background as a curator with experience in Europe where she was involved in projects with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in Germany, the publishing house Arkzin in Croatia, and the Kiasma contemporary art museum in Finland. From 2000 to 2003, Honor worked for Tate Modern in London as the Webcasting Curator within Tate’s Digital Programmes department and she produced events and concerts for the Interpretation and Education department at the Tate Modern. She has worked as a freelance curator on exhibitions and events, including art.net.uk/now for the British Council in India in 2002 and Dots and Lines for the BBC and Sonic Arts Network in 2005. Honor has lectured widely including at the TED conference, LIFT in Geneva, the European Space Agency, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, California Institute of the Arts and the American Film Institute.
Clare Wilson – NZTE Regional Director for East Asia
Clare oversees New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s activities and business relationships across NZTE 8 offices East Asia. Previously NZTE’s Regional Director for Australia and the Pacific, she lead the work in three offices in Australia and one in Port Moresby. Prior to this she was New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner/Consul General to Italy with responsibility for offices in Milan and Istanbul. Clare has a broad private sector experience to the team having worked in senior Marketing and Management roles in the tourism and sport sector, including Marketing Manager of Tourism Holdings and Sponsorship Manager of the Blues and Auckland Rugby. Prior to joining NZTE she was Marketing Manager at St John, where her particular interest was in tele-health and packages of care for the elderly to provide better health outcomes. Clare is fluent in Italian having undertaken a student exchange in Sardinia for a year. She received her undergraduate degrees in Art and Commerce from the University of Auckland and her Postgraduate Diploma in Packaging Technology from Massey University. In 2005, she completed her MBA from the University of Auckland.
