New Zealand Innovation Delegation to Israel

New Zealand Innovation Delegation to Israel

Innovation Delegation to Israel 21 – 28 September 2016

The delegation is organized by the Trans – Tasman Business Circle in partnership with the Israel Trade Commission and will include delegate participation from New Zealand, Singapore and our member organisations in Australia.

This delegation follows the recent highly successful visit to Israel led by Spark MD, Simon Moutter which attracted wide interest and significant follow-up outcomes. The delegation will build on areas in which we can collaborate and share best practice. The visit will coincide with the highly acclaimed DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Conference

Israel has one of the world’s highest concentrations of start-ups in the world and is a global leader in research and development. Israel attracts more per capita in venture capital than any other country on earth, spends more per capita on R&D than any other country, and finally has more companies on the NASDAQ than Korea, Japan, Singapore, China, India and all of Europe combined. At a time of increased global interest in Israel as a center of innovation, the Delegation will engage with Israel’s highly successful ecosystem that has earned the country the reputation as the “Start-up Nation”

The delegation is an excellent opportunity to collaborate and share ideas with highly innovative people and organizations and will cover areas such as:

  • WaterTech; AgTech; FoodTech & MedTech
  • Singapore / Israeli investment collaboration
  • Academia & Education
  • Innovation & Technology Transfer
  • Cyber Security & Defense
  • Commercialization; VC; and Start-Ups

The registration fee of USD $5,500 (equivalent to NZD $7,500) will cover the following for 8 days and 7 nights:

  • full group program from 21 – 28 September (including entry to DLD conference)
  • all ground costs including transport and meals included in the official Group Program
  • two days of cultural/tourism
