Our main aims of the New Zealand Business Women's Network are to seek to ‘connect’ and be ‘inspired’, with that in mind we couldn't think of anyone better to speak than Janene Madden, CEO Portland Hospital, as she shares her journey from physio to CEO.
Janene is the Chief Executive Officer of the Portland Hospital, a position she has held since June 2009.
Janene completed her training and worked as a clinical physiotherapist in New Zealand. She then travelled to England where she worked in a variety of NHS and private sector positions, climbing the ranks to Hospital Manager. During her progression she completed an MBA at Henley Management College. Janene joined HCA in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer at the Wellington Hospital and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the Portland Hospital in June 2009.
Our evening is hosted by fellow Network member Belinda Allen, Business Development Manager, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. We will begin with a welcome drink of NZ Wine and nibbles and the chance to meet with other women from the industry. After introductions we will hear from Janene Madden with the evening closing with another chance to meet and mingle.
