'God's Own Elective Dictatorship? - Checks and Balances in New Zealand'
The New Zealand Studies Network is delighted to host Dr Harshan Kumarasingham, a prominent political scientist who has published widely in international journals and held research positions in New Zealand, Australia, India, the UK, and now Germany. Dr Harshan Kumarasingham is Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London and Lecturer in Comparative Politics at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Prior to this he was Smuts Fellow at the University of Cambridge. Originally from Wellington, Harshan completed his PhD at Victoria University of Wellington where it won the Sir Desmond Todd Memorial Prize for 'best thesis in Political Science and International Relations'.
