The annual evening Service of Remembrance will take place this year in Christchurch Cathedral at 3.30pm on Sunday 26 April (note the change from St Ann's Church).
The commemorative nature of the evening service has been extended in recent years to include Irish soldiers who served at Gallipoli as well as New Zealand and Australian causalities from WW1 and other military operations.
This year’s service, which is open to the public, is organised by the New Zealand Ireland Association with the assistance of the Dean and Chapter of Christchurch Cathedral.
Taking part in the service will be the Deputy Head of Mission for New Zealand, Mr Rob Taylor, and the Australian Ambassador Dr Ruth Adler.
The normal post Service of Remembrance reception will be held in Dublin Castle, hosted by the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphries, T.D.
In order to accommodate guests at the reception please indicate your intention to attend by contacting email@example.com stating the number of people in your group.
