Tui award winning artists Frank Burkitt and Kara Filbey are coming to the beautiful St Pancras Old Church later this month for an intimate performance of some of the finest songwriting and harmony you are likely to hear.
Winners of the Vodafone NZ Music Award for Best Folk Artist 2019 (for their Frank Burkitt Band release "Raconteur"), Frank Burkitt and Kara Filbey have been performing together for the past 15 years throughout the UK, New Zealand, Australia and North America. Residents of Wellington for the last 5 years, they are delighted to be bringing their New Zealand inspired music to London.
Two voices that have had 15 years to blend, they will both captivate and enchant. Expect a broad set of original and traditional Scottish folk songs, country ballads and Americana. Burkitt’s highly intelligent songwriting is what sets him apart, as well as his ability to tell great stories to accompany his songs.
Support on the night comes from Chanteuse Rosé and Greg Wain, both perhaps better known for their Exposing Edith show.
