You are invited to hear New Zealand Professor Caroline Saunders present results from the first year of research from Lincoln University focusing on how New Zealand producers of food and beverage can communicate with their overseas consumers.
The research programme called Maximising Export Returns aims to help producers increase their returns based on marketing the "credence attributes" (eg, food safety, animal welfare and environmental sustainability) of products in five key export markets: China, India, Indonesia, Singapore and the UK.
The research and the national Food and Beverage Roadshow is funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
Lincoln University is New Zealand's specialist land-based university. Professor Saunders is the Director of the Agribusiness and Economics Research Unit (AERU) at the university. She has more than 35 years of experience in the UK and New Zealand.
Her research has been recognised with the presentation of the NZIER Economics Award in 2007 and Caroline was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the New Year's Honours List of 2009.
