About Elizabeth & Antipodes
Elizabeth Barbalich has created a global beauty brand on the back of her career and background in science and commerce. Following a Bachelor of Science, and embarking on an MBA Elizabeth moved to Wellington to embark on a career working for AutoSuture international – a leading edge surgical technology company that specialised in bringing keyhole surgical instrumentation to the Australasian market.
Her role saw her present in the Operating room on a weekly basis, providing “verbal and technical support” to surgeons using this equipment. Elizabeth reluctantly moved on from this exciting role, following the birth of her third child. During this time her interest in natural therapies was highlighted and she began looking for opportunities in the natural health market segment.
From modest origins nearly 10 years ago, Antipodes is now sold through 12 countries, and is a fast growing company, throughout Australasia. Winner of seven awards at the UK natural Beauty Awards in 2015, Antipodes was also selected by Air New Zealand as its skincare partner. Antipodes is also closely aligned with World Wide Fund for Nature, in New Zealand, raising $60,000 from the sale of its latest product to donate to the organisation.
Antipodes is a Scientifically Validated Organic Beauty Brand, featuring nutrient-rich New Zealand avocado oil and antioxdiant-packed Vinanza Grape extract from award winning Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Antipodes is for eco conscious people who appreciate good design, creativity, and style and who are seeking uncompromisingly results oriented skincare.
Antipodes believes in sourcing the purest certified organic ingredients for its award winning products, government certification if its organic status and third party independent research to validated its end formulations.
