CAN WE…dramatically improve survival rates for cancer patients?
Join us at our upcoming networking event exclusively for alumni and friends of the University of Auckland in Melbourne, where we have an exciting and informative programme planned.
Our guest speaker, Professor Rod Dunbar, will discuss one of the questions which is at the heart of our new University of Auckland Campaign For All Our Futures:
Professor Dunbar is Director of the Maurice Wilkins Centre at the University of Auckland, a national Centre of Research Excellence for the discovery of new medicines and vaccines. His laboratory at the University’s School of Biological Sciences focuses on the human immune system, especially understanding how immune cells can be used in cancer therapy. Immune therapy for cancer represents a genuine revolution in cancer care, causing some of the most severe cancers to melt away – and stay away.
Refreshments will be served.
