BLAIR JOLLANDS - LIVE - Ghent, Nov 17th | Amsterdam, Nov 19th.
Jollands is an international artist, in the truest sense of the word. He has globe-trotted from Shanghai to Sydney and Bali to Berlin, from Grey Lynn, New Zealand now residing in Spain and the UK.
His new LP 7 Blood, just released is receiving critical acclaim in Europe and Australasia.
Previously signed to Boy George’s label, More Protein - back under the artist name El Hula, Jollands quickly gathered 5 star reviews with his albums "Hotel" and "Violent Love", collecting many supporters. Having conquered that peak, Jollands then focused on his writing for film; composing and producing sound tracks - collecting Emmy nominations and accolades with the same twitch of a tail… these include most recently the highly acclaimed movie ‘Pride’, ‘Wild Bill’, ‘Bleak House’, ‘A Touch of Cloth’, the award winning film, ‘Shackleton’ and recently the soundtrack to Dream Catchers - an 8 episode series about expat kiwis doing great things internationally.
He will be playing in Ghent, Belgium on November 17th at The Crossover, Amsterdam on November 19th at The Waterhole and hitting the shores of Australia and New Zealand early 2019 in celebration of his new album. Compared to Nick Cave, Elvis Presley, Scott Walker, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen and Rufus Wainwright - you're sure in for a treat with each song handled with such care and tenderness, it is truly breath taking.
