Artificial Intelligence: an evening with Google's DeepMind co-founder, Shane Legg
What does artifical intelligence really mean? How far can it really take us, and what will this mean for our future?
New Zealander Dr. Shane Legg has spent his career exploring such questions and more. An expert at the cutting edge of articial intelligence and machine learning, Shane has worked in the areas of machine intelligence, neural networks, artifical evolution, reinforcement learning and the theory of learning in both academic and commercial environments. This culminated in the co-founding of start up DeepMind in 2011 which was acquired by Google earlier this year for around £400 million - one of Google's largest European acquisitions to date. Now Shane and his team are leading the charge in Google's robotics division.
Join us on Wednesday 17 September to enjoy delicious Kiwi drinks and nibbles, meet and network with like-minded Kiwis, and engage in a fascinating discussion with Shane about the latest in articial intelligence!
Please be sure to register early, as we have limited spaces for this event!
We look forward to seeing you there.
