The Edmonton ANZAC Gala Dinner is to recognise the 100th Anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli and to offer recognition to the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, who went to Gallipoli in September 1915 to support ANZACs.
We are also promoting this historical event and the enduring friendship that occurred between Australia, New Zealand, Turkey and Canada since the end of WW1.
Proceeds from dinner go to support Valour Place.
Valor Place is a temporary home away from home for all Canadian Forces members. Families of the Fallen, Veterans and RCMP along with their families who require medical treatment in Edmonton, and live outside the city/area.
Through Valor Place, they have the means to face the challenges of rehabilitation in a warm, welcoming and supportive environment, at no cost. Valour Place is the first in its kind in Canada, and is sustained through long-term leases, donations, endowment income and special events.
