5.00am: Dawn Service, Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner
The service will last approximately an hour and tickets are not required. We recommend you allow plenty of time and arrive early, by 4:30am at the latest (though not before 2:30am). Be aware that if you are unable to gain entry to Hyde Park Corner before the event starts then you may be denied entry. Much higher than usual numbers are expected this year, and a search regime will be in place – both of which will affect access to the site. Please keep bags to a minimum, anyone carrying large bags can be expected to be turned away. Please also carry photo ID as you may be asked to present it. There is only one entry point for the public, it is just off Apsley Way on the Hyde Park side.
At the end of the Dawn Service there will be a special Commemorative Waiata as the wreaths are repositioned to their respective memorials. We encourage you all to remain and join us in paying our respects at the New Zealand Memorial. We're looking for as many people as possible to join in. Find out more here.
