ActionStation is a new platform for citizen-led social action, inspired by Avaaz but built by and for Kiwis. A nimble, independent, progressive multi-issue movement that enables Kiwis to take powerful, coordinated action online and offline. ActionStation is about people power, not party politics.
Launched in July 2014, ActionStation already has more than 30,000 active members who have taken more than 100,000 actions.
Marianne Elliott, Director of ActionStation, will be in San Francisco on 8 April 2015
You are invited to meet Marianne, learn more about the platform, and give your feedback on what you - as a New Zealander or someone interested in New Zealand, living in the Bay Area - might want or need from an initiative like ActionStation.
"The stakes for our democracy have never been higher - the challenges facing us today are going to require not only innovation, but the kind of political courage that has historically only been found in grass-roots movements. ActionStation brings a new model of member-driven, high-tech, multi-issue, rapid-response, grassroots campaigning to New Zealand. It's a model we need right now. That's why I'm a supporter." ~ Phillip Mills - CEO, Les Mills International
