A Renaissance in Crowdfunding

A Renaissance in Crowdfunding
Includes beer tasting! New Zealand’s craft beer scene is amazing and growing rapidly. Kiwi brewers are eyeing overseas market opportunities and looking into creative ways to fund business growth. Come and hear the perspective of former wine maker, Roger Kerrison who is an owner and director of Renaissance Brewing. He was the project leader that saw Renaissance become the first New Zealand beer producer to crowdfund when it raised NZ$700k in 10 days in August 2014. Roger will share this and other crowd funding stories, plus the benefits and challenges of teaming up with other New Zealand craft brewers to take things global. He also consults to the beverage industry on environmental and commercial projects. Clients include Cloudy Bay, Yealands Estate, Hunters Wines, Kereru Brewing, Crossroads Wines and Indevin. Spare time? Roger likes to cook, play the guitar and walk the Wither Hills.
